Kelly Esenther, President
Hi friends! My name is Kelly and I am a junior studying psychology. This will be my third year with ASB. I started my freshmen year as a site leader for the Animal Rescue trip and last year I was a participant on two trips, as well as the Education Coordinator on the Executive Board. If you can't tell, ASB is basically my life. If you give it a shot, I know you'll fall in love with this organization just as much as I did! Our trips are amazing and you can't go wrong, no matter what social issue you pick. In the rare moment I'm not doing anything ASB related, I love watching movies, eating cake, or just going on adventures. I hope you'll give ASB a chance and feel free to reach out with any questions!

Hello friends! My name is Monica and I’m a Junior studying Interdisciplinary Studies in Social Science with a double minor in Bioethics and Environment and Health. This will be my third year with ASB and I’ve gone on the “Helping Homeless Animals” trip and the “Improving Accessibility for Senior Citizens” trip. ASB has had an incredibly positive impact on my life and I hope to make your ASB experience just as great (if not better) than mine has been! When I’m not crunching numbers as ASB’s finance coordinator, you can catch me watching netflix or petting any and every dog (both of which are my favorite pastimes). I can’t wait to meet all of you and get you excited about ASB!
Hey guys! My name is Katie, I'm a senior studying social work. This will be my second year with ASB and I am so excited to be a part of this incredible organization again. Last year I was a Site Leader for our At Risk Communities trip, it was absolutely life changing and I know that all of our trips share that quality. Outside of ASB, I work in the Brody HR office (I'm basically Toby from The Office... but better... I hope), I am also an intern at the Allen Neighborhood Center which is such a fun and educational experience! So when i'm not working or doing ASB, you can probably find me drinking too much coffee or obsessing over my plants. I can't wait to get to know you all this year and help with giving you all the same amazing experience that was given to me!

My journey with ASB started off a bit rocky, but the kind-hearted people roped me in... 2 years later, this organization still has my heart. As your Service Coordinator, I hope to give every fellow Spartan a chance to give back, step out of their comfort zone, and learn about the world. Previously, I have been on 2 trips as a participant, and served as a Trip Planner on the board. When I'm not stuck in lab as a 4th year trying to graduate with a degree in biochemistry, I like to be obnoxious and hit things on the MSU Drumline. Hmu if you like board games (or if you have questions about trips or ASB, I suppose).
Hi! I’m Adam! This is my 3rd year with ASB and 2nd year on the board! I am a senior studying Human Bio in Lyman Briggs. I’m really excited for this year because ASB is awesome and we have big plans for it! My favorite memory of from ASB is probably the board trip from last year. There was a lot of quality bonding and we did fun service in a cool city.
Lauren Caramagno, Communications Chair
Hi! My name is Lauren Caramagno, and I am a senior studying zoology with minors in cognitive science and environmental sustainability. I joined ASB my sophomore year and participated on a trip where we supported individuals with special needs on a farm setting through horseback physical therapy and this is my 2nd year on the board. You can usually find me volunteering or holding some type of animal. I am really excited to be your communications chair this year so don’t be afraid to contact me if you need anything, have any questions, or want to share your story about your ASB experience! I am really talkative. And don’t forget to check out our ASB insta!! #MSUASB
Domestic Trip Planner
Hi Spartans! My name is Maggie Collins and I’m a junior studying International Relations with a minor in Spanish. After my winter break trip to New Orleans last year I fell in love with ASB and learned a thing or two about construction! When I’m not planning ASB trips I can probably be found with my cat Reptar (she’s adorable), getting HYPE in the IZZONE, or playing volleyball. If you’re looking to travel, volunteer, and meet fellow Spartans that share your passions for social issues, you’ve come to the right place! Enjoy :)
Domestic Trip Planner
Hey, hey! My name is Catelyn Zuhl and I am a senior studying biomedical and molecular nutrition through Lyman Briggs with minors in both health promotion and bioethics. Last year I had the incredible opportunity to lead a group of breakers on a journey to reconstruct homes for low income families. It made me realize that you can always lend a hand to those in need. When I’m not busy with ASB, I enjoy hanging out with friends, cuddling with my dog, or running! Fun fact: If I happen to see a squirrel while walking, I will scream and run the opposite direction!! ASB has made a significant impact in my life and I hope it can do the same for you!
Alexandra Kaminske, Domestic Trip Planner
Hey everyone! My name is Alexandra, and I am a junior studying Nutritional Sciences with a minor in Health Promotion. This is my third year being involved in ASB. I was a participant freshman year, and I was a trip planner on the E-board last year. ASB is amazing in every way, and I would recommend everyone to go on at least one ASB trip because the experience is incredible. ASB trips allow you to step outside of your comfort zone and live life to the fullest. Also, I enjoy breakfast foods, running, and laughing. I am looking forward to another awesome year with ASB! :)
Jon Schafer, Site Leader Chair
Hi everyone, my name is Jon. I’m currently a junior studying Fisheries and Wildlife and am so excited to be apart of ASB’s executive board! I decided to join ASB because of all the unique experiences and global issues that you get exposed to (not to mention some super cool people). You’ll catch me in my free time obsessing over big cats, nature photography, or singing in my a cappella group. I look forward to meeting you!
Events and Fundraising Chair
Hello all, my name is Allie Goss. I am a senior studying psychology here at MSU. I love to spend time with my dog, drink coffee, read, travel and go on adventures. This is my second year with ASB after spending my first as a spring site leader for the Effects of Childhood Illness trip. ASB has been such a great experience for me, and no doubt will be for you too. It has allowed me to grow while serving my community and meeting tons of new people. I am super excited to be the Events and Fundraising chair this year and cannot wait to meet all of you!
Hi! My name is Sarah Jenuwine and I'm a senior majoring in Genomics and Molecular Genetics with a minor in Environmental and Sustainability Studies. This is my 4th year with ASB. Freshman and sophomore year I was a participant, and junior year I became a site leader. I've enjoyed my time with ASB so much, and I hope you have an amazing experience too! In my free time, I'm most likely catching up on celebrity gossip or window shopping online. I can't wait to meet you all and see where your journey takes you!
Hellooo!! My name is Fadumo, and I’m a junior studying Genetics on the Pre-Med track with a minor in Women’s Studies. This is my second year with ASB, I was a site leader last year on the Supporting Survivors of Sex Trafficking trip and I loved it so much that I had to do it again! I love listening to music and jamming out while driving but I can’t listen to London Bridge by Fergie anymore because I get too into it. I really like trying new food and traveling. I’m so excited for this year and to see where ASB takes us!!
