Fadumo Ali, President

Hey hey! I'm Fadumo and I'm a Senior with a major in Genomics and Molecular Genetics and a minor in Women's and Gender Studies. As a sophomore, I joined ASB, not really knowing what to expect, but it ended up changing my life, and I hope it can do the same for you. So now that it is my third and, most likely, last year with ASB, I hope to make it the best one yet!

Macy Dahnke, Vice President of Education

Hello everybody! I was born and raised in Okemos, Michigan, so I have been a Spartan from Day 1. I am currently a senior majoring in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences and Human Biology, with a minor in Bioethics. I am extremely excited to be this year's VP of Education! ASB has a very special place in my heart. As a freshman I knew I wanted to get involved in service, and attending an ASB trip seemed like the perfect way to start. Since then I have attended 2 trips as a participant, 1 trip as a site leader, and now I am serving on the executive board. Through ASB I have learned so much about our world, gained leadership experience, made life-long friends, and grown as a person in ways I never thought I could. The trips I went on focusing on poverty and childhood illness helped guide me to realize my dream of becoming a pediatrician. What I have gained from ASB, I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I am thrilled to now become a part of future breakers and site leaders' ASB journeys in my new position.

Nick Piner, Vice President of External Communications

Hi! My name is Nick, and I am entering my junior at Michigan State! I am a Human Biology / Physiology / Neuroscience triple major from Haslett, Michigan. In my free time I love spending time with friends and family, and I also enjoy attending sporting events. My main goal for ASB this year is to spread the mission of organization to all corners of campus, and make all students aware of the service opportunities available to them. I fell in love with ASB my freshman year, and I kept coming back after seeing the amazing impact this organization has on countless people.

Kierstin Konyha, Vice President of Finance

Hey everyone! My name is Kierstin and I’m a Junior studying Human Resources. I’ve been a part of ASB since my sophomore year when I went on a trip to South Carolina to help restore a home that was affected by a flood. This was my first experience with community service, and it could not have gone better. ASB has made a positive impact on my life by inspiring me to continue to serve my community. When I am not in the office, you can find me showing pictures of my dog Archie to everyone or feeding the deer that lives in my backyard. I can’t wait to meet all of the returning and new ASB members. Go Green!

Blair Prenaj,

Vice President of Internal Communications

You know those mass emails sent to your MSU inbox during the beginning of each semester that you end up deleting? Well, that is how I accidentally found out about ASB and fell in love with it. My name is Blair and I'm a junior majoring in Human Biology and minoring in Spanish. In my free time, you will find me playing the violin and snuggling with my dog Lilly. My love and passion for helping a variety of communities with different social issues has led me to the amazing ASB family. My goal is to continue to expand our family as we all bond to make positive changes to other communities. Next time you see an ASB email, don't delete.

Taylor Mayfield,

Trip Planner

I am in my junior year at MSU studying Animal Science. I want to be a veterinarian but I’m not sure what kind of animals I want to work with, yet. I love ASB because a group of people that were strangers to me became some of my close friends. I love doing yoga, and I just hope that in the future I am doing something that makes myself and others happy. :)

Ashley Brzozowski, Events and Fundraising Chair

Senior, Animal Science Major, goals are to successfully plan fun events and fundraise money for our organization! I love ASB as it provides the opportunity for anyone to learn about different community service and provides students unique opportunities to give back to communities! In my free time I love reading (especially Harry Potter), playing the piano, going out to eat with my friends ( LOVE TROPICAL SMOOTHIE), and watching Netflix!

Jada Yearwood, Breaker Logistics Chair

Hey there! I’m Jada and I am a Senior studying Packaging with a minor in Graphic Design. My journey with ASB started with being a Site Leader for the Housing for Low-Income Families trip followed by a year on E-board as Treasurer and VP of Finance. I’m excited to return to the Finance team this year to continue to make our trips affordable and accessible to MSU students through fundraising and scholarships (apply!!! money is great!!) My favorite part of ASB is being united with people you’d otherwise probably never interact with in order to offer support to a given community around a social issue that is important to you. Outside of ASB, catch me ballin’ (in professional attire) at the Breslin as I check your Izzone wristbands!
