Breakers will work alongside an organization whose mission is to restore their neighborhood and turn it into a community where people will want to live, work and play. In addition to learning about the community, participants will aid in home renovations, indoor and outdoor facility cleanup, and help with the development of the crime and violence prevention program.

Spend your break serving adults with disabilities in an inclusive outdoor environment! You will enjoy playing games, experiencing nature, and making friends with adults with all levels of developmental disabilities. You will spend your days engaging campers in their activities, including, but not limited to riding horses, playing outside, participating in group games, going on nature hikes, and much more! You may also spend some time setting up or tearing down activities and assisting in the kitchen. If you want to make a difference in the lives of those with disabilities this is the place for you! Breakers will work alongside an organization that their mission is to empower survivors and create a culture of safety and respect in our community. In addition to learning about the social issue, participants will aid in cleaning, cooking, sorting donations, painting, and clean-up.

This weekend experience is volunteering alongside a nonprofit organization that provides programs for food, health, housing, and jobs for communities suffering in areas of high concentrations of poverty. You will work hands on to help make an impact on the development of this community, while getting to work alongside and learn from community members.
